Rosé might feel like a modern trend, but it’s actually one of the oldest styles of wine in the world.
Thousands of years ago, early winemakers didn’t have the techniques to fully extract deep colour from grape skins, so most wines were naturally lighter in colour, closer to what we now call rosé.
Fast forward to southern France, especially the Provence region where rosé became more refined and intentional.
Winemakers perfected the balance of light colour, bright acidity, and fresh fruit flavours, creating the crisp, elegant style we know today.
